Zac Garthe brings a distinctive combination of in-house general counsel experience and sophisticated litigation expertise to every client engagement. After serving as General Counsel for a startup that grew into a global consumer-product brand with significant Amazon presence, Zac personally managed legal matters across international markets, giving him invaluable insight into the real-world challenges businesses face in the digital marketplace.

His work with Amazon's legal counsel helped shape the platform's intellectual property policies, and Amazon's patent lawyers specifically invited him to participate in designing the APEX (Accelerated Patent Evaluation) program—making him one of the few attorneys with insider knowledge of how this critical dispute resolution mechanism actually works. This unique background allows Zac to provide clients with strategic advantages in Amazon seller disputes, brand protection matters, and e-commerce enforcement that other attorneys simply cannot match.

Before founding Copernicus Law, Zac honed his litigation skills at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where he served as a patent litigator representing some of the world's largest brands. His client-first philosophy stems from his in-house experience—he understands that legal advice must be practical, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives, not just technically correct. Zac handles each matter personally, bringing the same level of attention and strategic thinking to every client that he provided when he was responsible for protecting an entire company's interests as General Counsel.
